Response to an after service follow-up email (July, 2004):

To answer your question, yes your services and buses were quite satisfactory. I'd like to commend Mariann, your lead driver that day who was particularly helpful. Despite the 45min delay in arrival of the last 5 buses, return at the end of the day was only 20min late. Everything we set out to do at Duluth was successfully completed. Our convention attendees were quite pleased.

I would like to complement you on the service you provided Sunday 4 July through [a destination management company]. We had contracted with [a destination management company] for a number of services and for their Sunday contract they apparently subcontracted with you. We were most pleased to discover that Mariann was again one of the drivers.

We had contracted with [a destination management company] figuring they had the most options and experience in obtaining service in that high demand period with the Grand Excursion and Elks convention also coming to town. I wasn't entirely pleased with our experience with them and frankly would probably prefer to contract directly with the bus company in the future. When rail excursions are involved, substantial delays can sometimes occur. I would prefer a direct bus dispatcher contact number to keep the bus contractor informed should the driver calls need to be pushed back. That kind of direct contact was not available with [a destination management company].

Should we need charter services in the future, you can bet we'll be knockin at your door.
